Google Earth used by terrorists in India attacks

The terrorists that attacked various locations in south Mumbai last week used digital maps from Google Earth to learn their way around, according to officials investigating the attacks.

Smartsourcing in Eastern Europe.

According to the New York Times publication, American companies are cashing in on outsourcing their IT and non-IT needs to Eastern Europe along with the Western European organizations. Such multinational players as Dell, IBM and Morgan Stanley have recently outsourced their services to Eastern Europe and expect other US companies to do so.

BlackBerry a Security Threat? Only to Governments

The story "Tata Launches BlackBerry Service in India" said that the Indian government objected to launching BlackBerry service in that country. Why? The government wanted RIM, creator of BlackBerry, to provide access to all communications from BlackBerry devices to the Indian version of the FBI.

India adds 9 million new mobile connections

India added close to 9 million new mobile connections in June, taking the total number of mobile subscribers in the country to 286.86 million, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) said on Friday.
